If you are a resident of Connecticut and have a qualifying debilitating medical condition, you may be eligible for a medical marijuana patient identification card.

Step 1:

After receiving a diagnosis for any of the 22 qualifying medical conditions approved under Connecticut’s Medical Marijuana Program, your physician can register you as a qualifying patient with the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP).

Step 2:

Once your physician has registered you with the DCP, you must create an account and log on to the DCP website. You will need to provide:

  1. Proof of identity
  2. Proof of CT residency
  3. Current passport sized photo
  4. Check for $100

Step 3:

Upon approval from the DCP, you will be mailed a state-issued ID card that enables you to purchase medical cannabis. Call the dispensary you are registered with to schedule an initial consultation before making your first purchase.
